Jerry Seinfeld jokes about doing 'Seinfeld' reboot with Mets' Alonso
Pete Alonso's historic rookie campaign has Jerry Seinfeld mulling whether to bring back "Seinfeld."
A day after Alonso hit his 53rd home run to set the single-season rookie record, Seinfeld joked that he may reboot his television show if the New York Mets first baseman agrees to appear in an episode.
Deeply contemplating “Seinfeld” re-boot if I can lock up @Pete_Alonso20 for next episode of “The Boyfriend”.

In the original "The Boyfriend" episode, Seinfeld meets former Mets star Keith Hernandez in the locker room of their gym and the two hit it off. Kramer and Newman later tell Seinfeld about an incident in which Hernandez spit at them following a Mets-Philadelphia Phillies game.
Alonso, who watched "Seinfeld" with his parents growing up, tweeted at the comedian on Monday to let him know he's interested.
Would love to!

Now it's just up to Seinfeld to make it happen.
