Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor wants to shut down rumors that star wideout A.J. Green could be dealt away before the Oct. 29 deadline.

"I've heard the speculation. We are not trading that guy," Taylor said Thursday, according to The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr.

There's been plenty of talk that Green - who's in the final year of his contract while the Bengals appear set to rebuild - could be sent packing this month. The receiver previously said he hopes to stay in Cincinnati for the rest of his NFL career, and his teammates have voiced strong support for keeping Green in the fold.

The seven-time Pro Bowler has yet to make his 2019 debut due to an ankle injury he suffered during training camp. Green is reportedly set to miss another week of action, though he practiced in a limited capacity Thursday for the first time since July 27.

Without their top offensive weapon, the Bengals have gone 0-5 to begin the season.
