Nick Folk was working in real estate when he got call from Patriots
After two years out of the NFL, Nick Folk decided to pursue a new career in real estate. That job has now been put on hold as the kicker starts a new stint with the New England Patriots.
Folk had recently started at AMR Capital, a Dallas-based commercial real estate firm, when the Patriots signed him late last month, according to Nora Princiotti of the Boston Globe.
"I (told AMR Capital founder Russ Graves), 'The Patriots want to sign me, bad news is I'm not coming in for a little bit,'" Folk said. "He said, 'No, that's awesome.'
"Luckily, I've got a really cool boss. I talked to him yesterday for a while, he keeps me updated on what's going on, so after the season when I'm back home I can do the same thing."
The Patriots are the fourth NFL team for the 35-year-old Folk. He previously kicked for the Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
