Barkley may be interested in joining NBA 2K
Charles Barkley's NBA 2K boycott could be coming to an end.
Scott Rochelle, president and CEO of the National Basketball Retired Players Association, indicated in a tweet to NBA 2K's Ronnie Singh on Saturday that Barkley may be interested in joining the video game series.
When reached by Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson of Heavy.com, Rochelle said the "ball is in 2K's court" on the matter.
"We had a productive conversation with Charles recently and we're looking to make this happen," Rochelle said. "Every year, Charles talks about not being on the game. There's been talks back and forth for years and the board of directors has put things in motion to end the talk and the board is trying to put (together) an action plan. The board takes this opportunity very seriously."
Barkley has said in the past that the only way NBA 2K can use his likeness is if the gaming franchise makes a donation to the National Basketball Retired Players Association. However, he did appear in NBA 2K17 as a member of the 1992 Dream Team.
