DeMar DeRozan isn't a fan of social media.
The San Antonio Spurs guard fueled trade speculation after wiping his Instagram account earlier this week, but explained Wednesday he wouldn't be on the platform at all if it wasn't essential.
"I don't even like social media, honestly," he said, according to Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News. "I'm not a big fan of social media, never been.
"To this day I always wish I had played in the '90s so I wouldn't deal with social media. I just let people talk. Me, personally, I hate it ... If it wasn't a need in 2019, I wouldn't have it."
Despite his dislike of the platform, DeRozan is one of the most popular NBA players on Instagram with 2.5-million followers.
