LSU fan plants Tiger Stadium sod on late father's grave
An LSU fan found a touching use for the Tiger Stadium sod the school gave away on Monday.
Catherine Glueck's late father Gregory was a huge Tigers fan, and after receiving her slab of sod, she replanted it on his grave.
"You'd love our QB this year," she wrote in a Facebook post, referring to Joe Burrow.
Gregory Glueck passed away in 2015 from heart complications at the age of 55, according to Lara Nicholson of the New Orleans Advocate. Catherine, 28, said she was inspired to honor her father after seeing someone's post about using the grass to pay tribute to a deceased parent.
"He was everything LSU," she said. "He would be so excited to be buried under the turf where LSU went 12-0 for a perfect season.
"If Joe Burrow wins the Heisman, he would be so happy by the fact that he's buried under Heisman turf."
