LeBron says it'll be emotional seeing Bronny play St. Vincent-St. Mary
Saturday will be special for LeBron James and his family, as eldest son LeBron "Bronny" James Jr. and the Sierra Canyon boys basketball team face his alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary, in Akron, Ohio.
The Los Angeles Lakers star spoke to ESPN's Dave McMenamin about the significance of the game.
"Obviously, everybody knows that St. Vincent-St. Mary is when people started to recognize me from a national standpoint, and for it to be 15 years later and my son is about to play a high school game versus my alma mater in our home state, the only thing that would have been more emotional is that if my son was playing St. Vincent-St. Mary at the LeBron James Arena in Akron. That would have been like - I think it would have been too much," James told McMenamin.
He added: "It's just a pretty cool thing. You don't know how things will line up in life and it almost seems like it's all coming back full circle, seeing my oldest son doing the things that he's doing. I'm proud of him and his basketball club. They got a great team but, more importantly, they're just great kids."
The game will be televised on ESPN3, and it's possible the King will be in attendance with the Lakers off Saturday.
