LSU's championship celebration didn't go over so well with law enforcement.

A police officer briefly put a damper on the celebration early Tuesday morning by warning players they would be subject to arrest for smoking cigars in the locker room, according to Michael Casagrande of AL.com. Several players laughed, but the officer made it clear it wasn't a joke.

In the end, no one was arrested and the party continued.

Joe Burrow was among the players seen smoking a victory cigar inside the Superdome after LSU defeated Clemson 42-25 to win the College Football Playoff national title. At one point, head coach Ed Orgeron advised him, "Take it easy on that cigar, boy."

New Orleans passed a law in 2015 banning smoking in public spaces, with fines starting at $50 for individuals who violate the ban.
