Bordeaux's Bellanova signs for Atalanta on initial loan

Bordeaux, Jan 30, 2020 (AFP) - Italy youth international Raoul Bellanova has joined Champions League last 16 side Atalanta on loan from Bordeaux, the French club announced on Thursday.

Bellanova, 19, who has represented the Azzurri at all age levels up to under-20, leaves Bordeaux after playing one game in just six months.

He has signed an 18-month deal with an option to buy with the Serie A club who will face Valencia in their first ever appearance in the Champions League knockouts in February and March.
