LeBron-MJ card sells for record-setting $900K
A one-of-a-kind LeBron James and Michael Jordan basketball card has set a new record after selling for $900,000.
Goldin Auctions sold the 2003-2004 Upper Deck "Exquisite Collection" card in a private sale this week, company founder Ken Goldin told TMZ Sports. The card features NBA logo patches from jerseys that James and Jordan wore.
The $900,000 price tag makes this the most expensive basketball card ever, surpassing the previous record of $501,900, which someone paid for a 1969-70 Lew Alcindor rookie card in 2016. The card's price is also the highest ever paid for a modern sports card, according to Action Network's Darren Rovell.
