Jordan game-worn, signed 'Dream Team' jersey sells for $216K
An autographed jersey worn by Michael Jordan as a member of the "Dream Team" that won gold at the 1992 Summer Olympics was auctioned off Sunday night for $216,000, according to Robert Edwards Auctions.
The jersey was first purchased for $17,500 in 1992 at a charity auction held by The Michael Jordan Foundation and later resurfaced at a public auction in 2013, where it fetched $53,325. It's accompanied by a copy of the original auction invoice.
Jordan is believed to have worn the No. 9 jersey in games against Argentina, Lithuania, Canada, and in the gold medal game against Croatia. He signed the front of the jersey in black Sharpie with the message, "Best Wishes, Michael Jordan."
