Rodman's son didn't know about Las Vegas trip before 'The Last Dance'
Dennis "D.J." Rodman Jr., son of former Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman, learned something new about his dad while watching the latest episodes of "The Last Dance."
D.J., who's coming off his freshman season at Washington State, revealed on Instagram Live he had never heard about the midseason trip his dad took to Las Vegas prior to the documentary series.
“Only thing I didn’t know was that vacation...I didn’t know you could do that...I didn’t know you could go up to your coach be like ‘I need a vacation’”

Rodman received permission from then-Bulls head coach Phil Jackson to travel to Las Vegas during the 1997-98 season on the condition he return to the team in 48 hours. He failed to do so, which led to Michael Jordan having to fetch him from his Chicago apartment.
"His vacation, part of it happened in Vegas of course, but he got back and still felt like he was gonna do a staycation for a little bit in Chicago," Jason Hehir, director of "The Last Dance," told ESPN's "Jalen and Jacoby" on Monday. "So that's when Michael said, 'Alright, I'm going to walk across the street.' It literally was across the street. So he went with the athletic trainer, they banged on his door. Michael, I think he said off camera, grabbed him by his nose ring and just took him out."
