CeeDee Lamb is continuing the tradition of legendary Dallas Cowboys wide receivers.
The first-round pick will become Dallas' latest pass-catcher to wear No. 88, the team announced Thursday.
Lamb follows in the footsteps of some of the best receivers in team history. Drew Pearson first popularized the number in the 1970s and early 1980s, Michael Irvin wore it during the Cowboys' 1990s dynasty, and Dez Bryant most recently sported the jersey.
All three receivers who donned No. 88 rank inside the top five in Cowboys history for career receptions and receiving yards.
Lamb wore No. 2 in college with Oklahoma. He was selected 17th overall in last week's draft.
