Blue Jays select Florida State pitcher Van Eyk No. 42 overall

With the 42nd pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the Toronto Blue Jays selected CJ Van Eyk, a junior right-hander out of Florida State.
Van Eyk emerged as one of the Seminoles' key hurlers during his sophomore year, earning third-team All-ACC honors in his first campaign as a full-time starter. He posted a 1.31 ERA in four starts as a junior before the 2020 season was canceled.
