Conor McGregor has vowed to defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their "inevitable rematch" after receiving praise from Mike Tyson for his boxing skills.
Tyson commended McGregor for going 10 rounds with Mayweather, whom he called "the greatest fighter in the last 100 years," on the latest episode of the "Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson" podcast.

McGregor responded to Tyson's remarks in a tweet Thursday, promising to beat Mayweather one day.
Thank you Mike, and just know that for the inevitable rematch, with the knowledge I now hold of Floyd’s style, plus under the tutelage of my old school boxing coach, I will crack the puzzle, and I will beat Floyd.

I promise my life on it.
It is great to see you back Iron Mike ❤️ https://t.co/NDrVnEaukm
Mayweather is currently retired but did tease earlier this year a possible rematch against McGregor.
