With the 13th pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the San Francisco Giants selected Patrick Bailey, a catcher out of North Carolina State.
Following a fantastic career at NC State, the backstop becomes the first catcher selected in the 2020 draft. His standout college career came after playing for the same high school as the San Diego Padres' Wil Myers.
This marks the second time in three years that the Giants have selected a catcher with their top pick, drafting Joey Bart second overall in 2018.
