With the 10th pick of the 2020 MLB Draft, the Los Angeles Angels selected Reid Detmers, a left-handed pitcher out of the University of Louisville.
Detmers might be the most polished pitching prospect coming out of college this year. He set school records for wins and strikeouts while leading Louisville to a berth in the 2019 College World Series.
Former big-league pitcher and current studio analyst Al Leiter said Detmers "could be in the big leagues next year," according to Maria Torres of the Los Angeles Times.
