Tigers select Ohio State catcher Dillon Dingler with 1st pick of Day 2

With the 38th pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the Detroit Tigers kicked off the second round by selecting Dillon Dingler, a junior catcher out of Ohio State.
Dingler has improved in each of his three seasons at Ohio State despite missing time due to injuries. The Buckeyes captain posted a career-best 1.164 OPS during the abbreviated 2020 campaign. He's caught 50% of would-be base-stealers during his NCAA career.
