LeBron's company producing documentary on Tulsa race massacre
LeBron James and his production company are helping to tell the story of the Tulsa race massacre.
The 1921 attack - one of the worst acts of racial violence in United States history - will be the subject of an upcoming documentary produced by James' SpringHill Entertainment, according to Nellie Andreeva of Deadline. Salima Koroma will direct and executive produce the documentary.
The Tulsa Race Massacre is not just a black story but American history. The fabric of this country is soaked in racism and today 99 years later, we’re still fighting for change. That’s why I’m partnering with @SpringHillEnt to tell the story of Black Wall Street ✊🏿

In the massacre, mobs of white residents attacked and destroyed the Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was otherwise known as "Black Wall Street" and was the wealthiest black community in the U.S. at the time.
SpringHill said in a tweet that Koroma pitched her idea for the documentary in April and the company "knew we had to empower her to tell that story."
ABSOLUTELY EMPOWER @limacake!! Thank you 🙏🏾❤️✊🏾👑 https://t.co/sUmVqLDanE
