Possible Joel Embiid logo surfaces
A potential logo for Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has leaked ahead of his first signature shoe being released.
As Josh Gerben of Gerben Law Firm revealed Monday, Under Armour recently filed a trademark application for a new logo to be used on footwear and other apparel items.
Gerben notes the logo is likely for an athlete, and not the company.

The filing states that the logo is an "abstract design featuring a series of curved lines."
Interestingly, the first filing on this trademark was actually made by Under Armour in Jamaica on January 28th. pic.twitter.com/L7ltNzFEVa
Some Twitter users have pointed out the logo looks similar to the one from leaked images of Embiid's sneaker, the UA Embiid 1.
Definitely Embiid. The mark seems to be a variation of what was on the leaked photos of his shoe. pic.twitter.com/SwZgGCOMkj

Embiid's sneaker is scheduled to be released in the fall, with several different colorways being rolled out during the 2020-21 season.
