Blue Jays add pitcher Nick Frasso in 4th round
The Toronto Blue Jays selected right-handed pitcher Nick Frasso out of Loyola Marymount University with the 106th overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft.
Frasso, Toronto's fourth selection of the draft, authored a 4.15 ERA in 8 2/3 innings through two starts this year, striking out 11 and issuing three walks before injuries ended his season.
Frasso worked primarily as a closer during his sophomore campaign in 2019, making 19 total appearances (five starts) and notching 10 saves while posting a 2.22 ERA over 56 2/3 innings. He also recorded an impressive 73 strikeouts to 17 walks.
He boasts a fastball that can reach 97 mph as well as a curveball and a changeup.

Frasso was also something of a basketball prospect during his days at Peninsula High School in California. He showed off his dunking ability in college during a rain delay.
