Report: Blackmon, 2 other Rockies test positive for coronavirus

Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon, along with teammates Phillip Diehl and Ryan Castellani, tested positive for coronavirus following recent workouts at Coors Field, according to The Denver Post's Kyle Newman.

The positive tests apparently came last week. One player was showing symptoms while the other two were asymptomatic.

All of the other players who were working out at Coors Field were subsequently tested, but those tests came back negative. Coors Field has been closed for the week, per MLB's protocol.

The Philadelphia Phillies also announced Tuesday that two more major leaguers and two more staff members tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the club's total number of confirmed cases to 12.

Major League Baseball and the players' association reached an agreement Tuesday regarding health and safety protocols for the 60-game 2020 campaign. The season will reportedly include a unique coronavirus-related injury list for players who have tested positive or are experiencing symptoms.

Training camps are slated to open July 1 with opening day scheduled for July 23 or 24.
