Kings' Holmes left NBA bubble to pick up chicken wings
Sacramento Kings center Richaun Holmes has revealed the food responsible for his violation of the NBA's bubble rules.
Holmes was forced into another quarantine period after he stepped outside the boundary for the league's Orlando campus to pick up a delivery order. He admitted Wednesday he wasn't fully aware of the boundary lines.
"I ordered some food, ordered some wings, and went to grab the wings and I wasn't really too aware of the borders," Holmes said in a video shared by TMZ Sports. "I kind of knew what was going on, but the specific areas I was in, I wasn't aware.
"So yeah, I stepped out and grabbed the food and came back and they just kind of let me know they wanted to be as safe as possible. They had to enforce the rules and I completely understand that. So won't make that mistake again."
Holmes did enjoy the chicken wings, though.
"We had a little BBQ/lemon pepper mix," he said. "It was pretty solid. They were pretty solid."
The 26-year-old is now back with the Kings after completing quarantine.
