Tyson launches Legends Only League to bring back 'best of the best'
Mike Tyson is starting a new sports league.
The former heavyweight world champion has partnered with Eros Innovations to create the Legends Only League, a "next-generation sports venture that provides full support and infrastructure to the world's greatest athletes," it was announced Thursday.
The league will encompass multiple sports and aims to bring "the best of the best back into the ring, onto the court, and back on the field."
"It's always been a dream of mine to create, build, and honor athletes," Tyson said in a statement. "All athletes live to follow their dreams and fight for excellence. It's something that is inherent in each of us and that drive never goes away. Legends Only League will support athletes in their individual sports, creating some of the most epic competitions, products, and live events in the world."
It's unknown if Tyson will be competing in the league, but the 54-year-old has been training for a possible comeback.
