LeBron selling more game-worn shoes to benefit I Promise School
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is once again selling his game-worn sneakers to raise money for his I Promise School in Akron, Ohio.
James is partnering with Upper Deck on the initiative, which will support the new I Promise Village - a renovated apartment building that will provide safe housing to students and families struggling with homelessness - and other I Promise initiatives.
There are currently 97 shoes available for purchase from the Upper Deck store, each priced between $15,000 and $30,000. The matching shoe from each pair sold will be placed on the "wall of shoes" in the school lobby along with a personalized donor plaque.
The initiative was first launched in 2018 shortly after the I Promise School opened. Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson was among those who supported the cause, paying $30,000 for a Zoom Soldier 11 that James wore during the 2017 NBA Finals.
