Kobe signed piece of court from final NBA game to be auctioned off
A piece of the Staples Center hardwood that Kobe Bryant played his final NBA game on is set to hit auction, and it could fetch more than $500,000.
The floorboard, which is being sold by Heritage Auctions, features Bryant's original No. 8 painted in white and purple. The Los Angeles Lakers legend signed it before leaving the court following his 60-point performance against the Utah Jazz on April 13, 2016.
Bidding opens Sept. 4 and a live auction session will be held Sept. 26. The seller plans to donate 10% of the proceeds from the sale to the Bryant family's Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
Heritage is also auctioning off an autographed ticket from Bryant's 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors in 2006 and one of his game-worn No. 8 jerseys from the 2000-01 season.
