Report: Ibrahimovic to sign lucrative 1-year deal with AC Milan
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is staying in Serie A.
The 38-year-old agreed to a one-year contract with AC Milan on Thursday that will pay him €7 million for the 2020-21 season, according to Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio.
A day earlier, Mino Raiola, the player's agent, denied on Twitter that an agreement was in place.
But the Swedish striker has reportedly decided to continue with the Rossoneri.
Ibrahimovic rejoined Milan in January on a short-term deal after leaving the LA Galaxy and settled in quickly, recording 11 goals and five assists in 20 Serie A appearances.
Paolo Maldini, Milan's technical director, said it was a "priority" to re-sign Ibrahimovic, who first represented the Italian club from 2010-12 and won the Scudetto while on loan from Barcelona.
His future at the club was up in the air. Reports linked Ralf Rangnick, the former RB Leipzig manager and director, with Milan, and there was speculation the German would push out Ibrahimovic. Rangnick eventually turned down the chance to become Milan's coach and sporting director.
It's unclear if this will be Ibrahimovic's last season as a professional. He began his career at Malmo in 1999 and went on to play for some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United.
