Jacob Blake's father says Bucks reached out, sent signed jersey
The Milwaukee Bucks were among those that reached out to Jacob Blake in the wake of his shooting by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Blake's father, Jacob Blake Sr., told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on Friday that his son received a signed jersey from the Bucks.
"The thing that made him smile was the Milwaukee Bucks. That made him smile," Blake Sr. said. "I'm from Chicago, but now I am truly a Milwaukee Bucks fan because they reached out to my son, sent him a jersey that was signed by the whole organization."
Blake was left paralyzed from the waist down after he was shot multiple times in the back Sunday while attempting to enter his vehicle, where his three young children were seated inside.
The Bucks refused to play Game 5 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday in response to the shooting, leading to the postponement of all NBA playoff games. Their series is set to resume Saturday afternoon.
