LeBron reflects on losing Kobe, Chadwick Boseman in same year
For LeBron James and many others, 2020 has been a difficult year.
The Los Angeles Lakers star described it as "the shittiest year in my 35 years" while discussing the deaths of Kobe Bryant and "Black Panther" star Chadwick Boseman following his team's win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.
Lakers’ LeBron James w/ tribute to Chadwick Boseman: “It actually felt like we had our black superhero and nobody could touch us. To lose that, it’s sad in our community. To lose Black Panther & Black Mamba in the same year — 2020 is the sh**tiest year.” pic.twitter.com/GiGbPA80Gp

Boseman passed away Friday at the age of 43 following a four-year battle with colon cancer. James paid tribute to the late actor by doing the "Wakanda Forever" salute from "Black Panther" during the national anthem Saturday.
Boseman appeared on an episode of James' HBO talk show "The Shop" in March and revealed that he and Bryant had plans to collaborate on a project, which never came to fruition.
Knew I remembered watching Chadwick Boseman talk about meeting Kobe and their plans to work together, but couldn’t recall what it was from. It was on episode 1, season 3 of The Shop.pic.twitter.com/ZhwUSE3rjY

Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash in January that also claimed the lives of eight others, including his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
