Giannis rookie card sells for record $1.812M
A rare Giannis Antetokounmpo rookie trading card has set a record for the most expensive modern-day basketball card.
Goldin Auctions sold the 1-of-1 Panini America National Treasures card on Sunday for $1.812 million, breaking the previous record of $1.8 million that a LeBron James rookie card established in July. The card features an NBA Logoman patch from one of Antetokounmpo's game-worn jerseys and his signature.

The card was previously sold on eBay in 2014 for $7,000, but the buyer returned it because of a yellow stain, according to Darren Rovell of Action Network.
