Charles Oakley's run on "Dancing with the Stars" didn't last long.
The NBA legend and his dancing partner, Emma Slater, became the first pair to be eliminated this season during Tuesday night's episode. Oakley landed in the bottom two with "Tiger King" star Carole Baskin, whom the judges opted to keep in the competition.
"It's business," Oakley said Wednesday on "Good Morning America." "You go and put your effort and your heart to it, and sometimes like in a football game or a basketball game, you got to score a lot of points to win and we didn't score enough points."
Oakley admitted the first week of the competition "caught me off guard a little bit," but said he was glad he had the opportunity to appear on the show.
