Twitter map shows most of U.S. rooting for Stars in Stanley Cup Final

The Dallas Stars are the fan favorite to win the Stanley Cup, new Twitter data shows.

Using over 80,000 geotagged tweets, including hashtags such as #GoStars and #GoBolts, since the start of the Stanley Cup Final, Betonline.ag created a map showing which team each state is rooting for. The Stars had the most support, with 34 states backing them compared to 16 states for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Stars and Lightning are tied at 1-1 entering Wednesday's Game 3.
