Brisson was the centerpiece of one of the most dominant USHL teams in recent memory last season. He helped lead the Chicago Steel to an incredible 41-7-1 record while finishing second in the league in points. Being the best player on the best team in the league is always a good sign.
The 18-year-old took home Rookie of the Year honors, was named a First-Team All-Star, and also dominated at the World Junior A Championships - he tied Andrei Svechnikov and Nick Schmaltz's record of 12 points in the tournament.
Brisson is the son of NHL agent Pat Brisson, who represents players such as Sidney Crosby, John Tavares, Patrick Kane, and Jonathan Toews. The cerebral center has shown flashes of brilliance early in his career and has immense potential.
What they're saying
"Brisson is a very skilled player. He has the slick 1-on-1 skill to beat defenders consistently and make plays in small areas," wrote The Athletic's Craig Custance in June. "He’s an extremely creative playmaker who can make a lot of plays off the perimeter and make plays with pace. He improvises very well, making high-end plays under pressure. Brisson is a great passer, but also a great goal-scorer, who scored numerous goals off his one-timer. That combination makes him very dangerous on the power play."
"He has so many attributes that are attractive," the general manager of the Chicago Steel told Pronman. "He has skill, he can score, and he can make plays."
