Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has confessed to using some trickery when he'd rather run his own plays.

Appearing on "The Pat McAfee Show" with former Packers teammate A.J. Hawk, Rodgers admitted there's been "a ton of times" where he pretended his helmet communication system was malfunctioning during a game.

"Every now and then it's real," Rodgers said. "I can't believe it and (Matt) LaFleur thought I was messing around last year. The helmet went out three times probably and he could not believe it. The second time it went out, he thought I was messing with him, then I faked one in between the second and third time."

Rodgers went on to explain there were only two or three times in his 11 years with Mike McCarthy that his helmet legitimately went out, but it's become more of an issue since LaFleur took over as head coach in Green Bay.

Elsewhere during the show, Rodgers retold the story of him seeing a UFO and expressed admiration for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
