An autographed piece of hardwood from Kobe Bryant's final NBA game at Staples Center was auctioned off over the weekend for over $600,000.
Bidding on the floorboard reached $230,000 as of Saturday morning and jumped to $631,200 by the end of the night, according to Heritage Auctions, which facilitated the sale.
The floorboard was painted with Bryant's No. 8 and signed by the Los Angeles Lakers great following his last game on April 13, 2016, during which he scored 60 points in a win over the Utah Jazz. The piece of hardwood with Bryant's No. 24 is on display at the Lakers' practice facility.
Ten percent of the proceeds from the Heritage Auctions sale will be donated to the Bryant family's Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
