Lakers shatter NBA championship merchandise sales record
Los Angeles Lakers fans wasted no time getting their hands on championship merchandise.
Fanatics announced Monday that the Lakers are now the top-selling NBA champions in company history, breaking the record set by LeBron James' former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, in 2016. Lakers fans purchased more gear in the 12 hours after the team won its 17th NBA title than Cavaliers fans did in 30 days.

Lakers championship merchandise has sold in over 110 countries so far, with 85% of purchases made from mobile devices immediately after L.A.'s win over the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Sunday, according to Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times.
It's unclear when Lakers fans will get their championship parade, as the team announced Monday it will hold off on hosting a public celebration until it's safe to do so.
