Documentary chronicles Eagles superfans during Super Bowl LII run
A new documentary is shining the spotlight on some of the Philadelphia Eagles' most die-hard fans.
"Maybe Next Year" chronicles the Eagles' 2017 Super Bowl-winning season through the perspective of four fans, including Bryant "EDP" Moreland and "Eagles Shirley" Dash. The film will be available for streaming on Nov. 10.
"'Maybe Next Year' is a love letter to my favorite place on earth and an ode to everyone who waited their entire lives to be called champions," director Kyle Thrash said of the film. "There was something in the air that year and I was drawn to it the same way I was drawn to the Vet as a kid. I hope this film means as much to the city and its people as they do to me."
The Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII to capture the franchise's first Lombardi Trophy, and its first NFL championship since 1960.
This year's Eagles team is 1-4-1 through six games. Philadelphia hosts the New York Giants on Thursday.
