Actor cast to play young Kaepernick in Netflix series

The lead role for the upcoming Netflix series about Colin Kaepernick's teenage years has been filled.
Jaden Michael, whose acting credits include the television series "The Get Down" and 2017 film "Wonderstruck," will portray the quarterback in "Colin in Black & White."

The six-part series will offer a look into Kaepernick's early life as a Black child adopted by a white family and the experiences that led him to become an activist. Kaepernick will narrate and executive produce the show.
A release date has yet to be announced.
