Dolphins' Fitzpatrick pays tribute to ex-teammate Ford with short shorts
Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a different look at practice Wednesday, sporting very short shorts and a trimmed beard.
Fitzpatrick's shorts were a tribute to former Dolphins wide receiver Isaiah Ford, who was traded to the New England Patriots on Tuesday.
#Dolphins LB Jerome Baker says Ryan Fitzpatrick wore his shorts like this as a tribute to WR Isaiah Ford, who wore his like this in practice before being traded away. Fitz was very complementary of @IAF_1 during his time in Miami. https://t.co/omUB0CzhDe

Receiver Isaiah Ford was the short shorts guy and after he was traded Tuesday, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick seemingly took up the mantle for one practice in respect. Also, Fitz has chopped his beard.

This wouldn't be the first time Fitzpatrick has channeled a teammate's style. In 2018, he showed up to a postgame press conference dressed as then-Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
That time Ryan Fitzpatrick borrowed his postgame outfit from DeSean Jackson 😆 pic.twitter.com/HafSVPBfJX
