The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Dodgers both postponed their championship parades due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Lakers controlling owner Jeanie Buss hopes they'll eventually be able to celebrate together.
"My dream would be to have a co-parade with the world champions Los Angeles Dodgers, as well," Buss told Jim Hill of CBSLA Sports Central. "And all the fans of Los Angeles could celebrate together, but not until it's completely safe."
The Lakers and Dodgers last won titles in the same year in 1988. The teams held separate parades that year, with the Lakers' taking place in June 1988 and the Dodgers celebrating four months later.
