Report: LaMelo Ball conducts workout for Timberwolves
LaMelo Ball conducted his first individual workout for the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Jonathan Givony.
The former Illawarra Hawks star previously didn't intend to work out for any team and hadn't done so before Wednesday. However, Ball did conduct pre-draft interviews with the Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, and Chicago Bulls. Many front offices are operating under the assumption the 19-year-old will be taken first overall in the draft.
The workout - which was conducted in front of the Timberwolves' president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas, head coach Ryan Saunders, and executive vice president of basketball operations Sachin Gupta - apparently went well for Ball.
Memphis big man James Wiseman and Georgia guard Anthony Edwards are also expected to be in the running for the first overall selection with Ball.
