Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball isn't in a rush to spend his NBA paychecks.
When asked Friday about his recent purchase of a diamond-encrusted grill, Ball indicated he hasn't touched any of the money from his rookie contract.
"Nah, I don't spend my NBA money," Ball told reporters. "I'm smarter than that."
Ball, the No. 3 overall pick of the 2020 draft, is guaranteed $16 million over the first two years of his contract, according to Spotrac.
The 19-year-old also earns money through his endorsement deal with Puma, and launched his clothing line last month called LaFrance.
