Former Alabama quarterback Blake Sims made his acting debut in the new Disney+ football movie "Safety."
Sims plays a quarterback for Florida Atlantic University in the film, which tells the story of former Clemson safety Ray McElrathbey, who took temporary custody of his 11-year-old brother as a redshirt freshman in 2006.
Sims was a running back and backup quarterback for the Crimson Tide before taking over starting duties in 2014. He went on to have stints in the CFL, Australia's National Gridiron League, and the now-defunct Alliance of American Football.
