A Charlotte condo that former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton once called home has been sold to the city's newest sports star.

Charlotte Hornets rookie point guard LaMelo Ball reportedly bought Newton's old residence.

Newton, now a member of the New England Patriots, listed the three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom condo for $2.9 million in July, according to Randy White of Realtor.com. The condo building is also home to NBA legend and Hornets owner Michael Jordan, whose unit occupies the entire seventh floor.
