Mayweather-Logan Paul postponed to later date
The exhibition bout between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul, originally scheduled for Feb. 20, has been postponed to a later date, according to Fanmio founder and CEO Solomon Engel.
Engel, whose company is promoting the contest, told ESPN's Eric Woodyard, "we're hoping to announce a new date very soon" in a statement.
Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers of his era, would have been stepping into the ring for the first time since finishing Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition held by a Japan-based MMA promotion called Rizin FF in 2018. The 43-year-old hasn't competed as a professional since his 10th-round TKO win over UFC star Conor McGregor in 2017.
Paul, a YouTube personality, holds an 0-1 professional boxing record after making his pro debut in 2019, losing to fellow internet star KSI via split decision.
