Tiger in good spirits after successful follow-up procedures

Tiger Woods underwent successful follow-up procedures on the leg injuries he suffered in a single-vehicle car crash Tuesday, he announced via Twitter on Friday evening.

"Tiger has been moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and received follow-up procedures on his injuries this morning. The procedures were successful, and he is now recovering and in good spirits," the statement read.

"Tiger and his family want to thank you all for the wonderful support and messages they have received over the past few days. We will not have any further updates at this time."

Woods initially underwent successful surgeries on his lower right leg and ankle at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center before transferring to a new facility. The 45-year-old reportedly suffered a shattered ankle and two leg fractures after losing control of his vehicle while traveling at a high speed near Los Angeles earlier this week.

Authorities haven't released the cause of the accident. A recovery timeline is unclear.

Woods hasn't played competitively since participating in the PNC Championship with his son, Charlie, in December. Tiger underwent back surgery following the event and hosted the Genesis Invitational last weekend at Riviera.
