Bill Murray's Air Jordans from 'Space Jam' auctioned off for $22K
A pair of Air Jordan 2 sneakers that Bill Murray wore in "Space Jam" recently sold at auction for $22,400.
The size 11 shoes were worn by Murray during the scene where he enters the final game and makes a pass to Michael Jordan for the game-winning shot, according to the listing by Julien's Auctions. They came in their original box and were accompanied by a pair of white socks and the red Acme Clothing shirt Murray wore under his jersey in the 1996 movie.
During an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last year, Murray joked that he deserved more credit for helping Jordan and the Tune Squad defeat the Monstars.
"People forget that I got the assist on the game-winning basket," Murray said. "You know, so easily forgotten ... I stole the ball. I made the pass. I got nothing. I wasn't even interviewed after."
