Magic Johnson's documentary series has sparked a bidding war among media outlets.

Production company Submarine Entertainment is shopping the rights to the series, and it received a lead offer of $25 million from NBC streaming service Peacock, according to Bloomberg's Lucas Shaw.

The Rick Famuyiwa-directed series, billed as Johnson's version of "The Last Dance," will delve into his life on and off the court and include interviews with the Los Angeles Lakers legend, his family, NBA players, and more.

A release date has yet to be announced, but it was previously reported that the series would premiere this year.
