Harry Kane continued to delay his return to Tottenham Hotspur while spending another day on vacation in Florida, according to David Hytner of The Guardian.

The English striker has now missed three days of Tottenham's preseason training as he reportedly attempts to engineer a move away from the club. Manchester City have been heavily linked with Kane.

Kane's absence Wednesday means he'll be unable to train until the start of next week at the earliest. He'll be required to quarantine for five days upon returning to the United Kingdom from the United States.

The 28-year-old plans to report to the north London side this weekend, Matt Law of The Telegraph reports.

Given the tight time constraints, he's expected to miss Tottenham's first Premier League match of the season against Manchester City on Aug. 15, Law adds.

Kane is understood to have ignored Tottenham's threat to fine him while continuing his holiday with a stop in Florida after spending time in the Bahamas, Law also notes.

His frustration with the team stems from a reported gentleman's agreement with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy. Kane believes he was promised a move away this summer, but Levy interprets the agreement differently.

City are expected to make a strong push for Kane once their £100-million move for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is complete.

Spurs have reportedly rejected an offer from City worth over £100 million, with Levy understood to be holding out for around £160 million.
