Chris Johnson believes he's the fastest NFLer of all time
Chris Johnson is confident he'd come out on top in a race between the NFL's fastest players.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Johnson declared himself the fastest to have ever played in the NFL and said there's "no question" he'd win a 40-yard dash against the likes of Tyreek Hill, Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, Darrell Green, and John Ross in their primes.
"You look at my tape, I've never been caught," Johnson said. "I made people pull hamstrings."
The former running back, who ran a then-record 4.24 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the 2008 NFL Combine, believes his speed was more impressive because of the position he played.
"I have to break tackles, go through the line, all that, and then go, know what I'm saying? I gotta make people miss, then go," he said. "If I played receiver, it would be even more scarier."
Johnson last played in the NFL in 2017 and retired the following year after 10 seasons with the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals.
